I was looking for a database of hills/mountains in the British Isles (cue discussion of how to define a “hill”). I quickly came across the following website which seems to have what I was after: The Database of British and Irish Hills.

It was pretty straightforward to download the database in csv format, upload to Google Fusion, click on the map tab that appears after the import is complete, then click publish on the tools menu to give a link to the database plotted on a Google Map (there are some tips on how to do all this more generally here). Then just paste the link into your web page to end up with is a nice map like the one below. Alternatively, if you want to view the data directly in Fusion, try this link.
