I’m sure that there are going to be a lot of books written about the 2012 London Olympics – London being the first city to host the games on three occasions. Books have already been written about the competition to hold the event and there are a lot of good ones around describing the 1908 and 1948 Olympics.
2012 is sure to be a very different event to the previous two London games, both in money spent, events included and inclusion of different countries from around the world. The contrast between the pre-First World War and post-Second World War games is in itself immense, between those and the 21st century games is incredible.
