The Man Who Changed Everything

A decent book about one of the more unsung nineteenth century scientists: James Clerk Maxwell. Hopefully you’ve heard of Maxwell, even if you haven’t heard of Maxwell’s equations. History would have been very different without this man’s work.

This is a well researched book written in an entertaining style as biographies go, so there is no need to worry about it being a dry read. Some aspects of Maxwell’s science are described, but if you just want the story without necessarily getting to grips with the theory then you can just skip those bits, so don’t let it put you off.

A decent read, three out of five stars.
